My research and teaching focuses on how consumers and managers make judgments and decisions--and specifically, how they think about data, metrics, and statistics.

My research has been published in leading academic journals in business and psychology, such as Journal of Consumer Research, Management Science, or Journal of Experimental Psychology. It also regularly features in managerial magazines like Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review.

I have presented my research at the most prestiguous academic instituions in the world, and am regularly invited as a keynote speaker at professional conferences. I also support businesses by leading internal workshops and providing consulting services.

I have developed an approach to data analytics in business called "decision-driven data analytics." By emphasizing the psychology of the decision-maker and leveraging the unique properties of human intelligenge, it can help advanced data analytics and AI intitiatives have greater impact.

At Vlerick, I teach on the European Executive MBA, the FMCG Bootcamp for Master students and the DBA program. I also teach in the MBA program at Rotterdam School of Management, and am involved in a variety of open executive programs on the topics of behavioural economics, data analytics and decision making.
